I’m definitely getting BIG! At 7 weeks I weighed-in at 13 lbs and measured a whopping 25 inches – I’m a tall guy just like my Mommy and Daddy. Mommy is 5’9 and Daddy is 6’4! I’ll update you on my current stats next week after my check-up with Dr. Batin. ..
I’ve definitely been more engaged in the world around me. I now spend a great deal of time looking at bright objects and staring up at Mommy and Daddy’s faces. I also smile a lot – Especially in the wee hours of the morning when Mommy is giving me my bottle… She always looks so tired so I like to cheer her up with my gorgeous toothless grin. It works every time! She says one smile from me makes all the nights of missed sleep totally worth it! I also seem to have found my big boy voice. A few times I have screamed and cried so very loud! I even scared the cats! It’s fun to watch Mommy and Daddy scramble about as they try to find my off switch. Fortunately for them , I am easily comforted. And my new favorite comfort tool is Mommy’s giant red gym ball. Mommy and Daddy sit on it and bounce me until I fall asleep – Which sometimes can take quite a while… What can I say, I’m addicted to the bounce! I have a bouncy horsy too but I’m not quite big enough to reach my feet to the ground. So until I am bigger, Mommy and Daddy will have to do the bounce for me.
Last week Grandpa Louis and Donna sent me a super cool Harley Davidson bib and booties. They live up in Oregon - Hopefully I’ll get to meet them soon.
I visited Mommy’s office which is located in Downtown LA on the 22nd floor of a big skyscraper. There I met a bunch of Mommy’s cool TCW work friends. Auntie Stef was there too! They were all very impressed with my cuteness and gave me lots of cuddles and kisses – It was awesome!
Mommy and Daddy and I went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to meet my great Aunt Jody, great Uncle Robin and second Cousin Keenan. They gave me a book about a mommy and her little boy (which made Mommy cry) and a really cool Hurley outfit. They live in Fresno but I hope to see them again soon. Daddy BBQ’d fresh Albacore and Mexican Sand Bass and fried Calamari – All caught on his last fishing trip. I of course had milk… With a heaping side of milk… And you guessed it – Milk for dessert!. Mmmmm…
Speaking of family, I also got to meet Daddy’s sister Aunt Pattye and Uncle Jeff and my cousins Ele and Jeffrey. They live in Las Vegas. We all had dinner together and Cousin Jeffrey gave me to coolest gift – A baby Mickey Mouse that he got at Disneyland. I love to sleep with baby Mickey in my crib.
Mommy and Daddy and I drove to Culver City to visit Auntie Milena at her work – The historic Culver Hotel. There we had lunch with Milena and her cool friend Monica who lives in Hawaii. Hopefully someday we’ll get to visit Monica and her family on their Macadamia nut farm. After lunch we went to a farmer’s market and picked-up some organic produce and cheeses. I hear cheese is made of milk so it’s gotta be good!
Last weekend, we invited Eric, Heather, LaVonne and Stef over for a BBQ. Daddy grilled some fish, beef and veggies and we all hung out on our deck. The weather was perfect! Not too hot and not too cool. They all brought me awesome gifts – I got some cool clothes including a jumper and my first bathing suit from Auntie LaVonne and a cowboy outfit from Uncle Eric and Auntie Heather. Auntie Stef got me a super cute horsy jacket that has ears and a mane on the hoodie. I can’t wait to grow into it!
On Sunday Grammy Hope came to visit me and she and Daddy watched me while Mommy was at the ranch. Grammy spent two nights and on Monday, we all went to the ranch to visit Jill and Gary and Kate - Auntie LaVonne was there too! And best of all, I finally got to meet our horse Eduard. He is HUGE!!! His head is bigger than my whole body and he’s even taller than Daddy if you can believe it! I guess that’s why he doesn’t live in the house with us like our dogs and cats… We also saw tons of other animals – Chickens, dogs, baby horses and their mommies, a mini mule named Hugs and two mini cows called Zebus. Auntie LaVonne’s horse Belem and Auntie Kate’s horse Sweet Pea were there too. Afterwards, we met Grandma Shelley for dinner. I’m sure you’ve noticed that most of our outings involve food… That’s what you’re into when your Daddy is a Chef!
Yesterday Grammy went back to her home in Palm Springs and we got a visit in the afternoon from Daddy’s friend Michael and his little girl Isabella – She is 4 years old. They gave me a funny t-shirt that says, “I heart boobies!” Later that night Auntie Milena came by with Alex. Milena helped Mommy give me a bath. I no longer need the hammock and I can sit-up like a big boy! Pretty soon I’ll be able to take a bath in the big tub like Mommy!
So that’s the long of it! See y’all soon!
XOXOXO
