Mommy here! Roo wanted me to relay his deepest apologies for not posting in such a long time but really it is my fault. We’ve been SO busy trying to get everything together so I can go back to work on September 2nd. We’ve hired a really sweet nanny named Rosa to watch Roo while I’m working. It is going to be a tough transition (mostly for me!!) but I know our sweet baby boy will be in loving hands. Do they make pills for baby separation anxiety??? Maybe I can just bring Roo to work with me and stash him under my desk… Shhhh, don't tell Joseph =)Anyway, we completely re-landscaped the back yard so that Roo will have actual grass to crawl on (once he can crawl). We also fixed up our extra room for Rosa since she will be staying with us from Sunday through Friday each week. And to help with our ever increasing storage needs, Mike and “the guys” emptied the garage and built additional shelving. We’ve posted before and after photos for your enjoyment.
And now an update from Roo…
I got an awesome jumpy thing that attaches to a doorway – A great gift from our neighbors Orson and his mommy and daddy. I LOVE it! Sometimes it is the only way Mommy can get me to fall asleep. It is a little bit big for me but with the rate I’m growing, it’ll be a perfect fit in no time!
I’ve also gotten a lot more verbally expressive over the last few weeks. I talk quite a bit but sometimes I get frustrated because Mommy and Daddy don’t seem to understand anything. The curse of genius I guess!
Mommy thinks I may be experiencing another growth spurt because for the last few days I’ve been eating A LOT and I’ve been pretty fussy. She even had to give me a bit of rice cereal for extra sustenance (see, what other baby would know a big word like sustenance??? I must be a genius indeed!) I’ve also had some issues napping (which may also account for the increased fussiness) – Mommy doesn’t understand that I don’t want to nap because I’m afraid I might miss something. I just want to be awake when Mommy and Daddy are awake… And some nights, I like to be awake when they are asleep. Mostly I just like to be awake because that’s where the action is!
Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on August 18th. We all had a nice lunch out and then watched a video in the evening and Daddy cooked rib eye for dinner – I had milk of course but Mommy said the meat was delicious. Then I retired to my crib while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed some time in the Jacuzzi.
That’s all for now - Enjoy the pictures and videos!!
XOXOXO
